FIDVR is a low -voltage condition initiated by a transmission or distribution fault that is characterized by:

After fault clearing, initial voltage recovery to less than 90 percent of pre-contingency voltage; followed by
Slow voltage recovery, taking many seconds, to return to original level—often accompanied by an over-voltage condition.
