Composite Load Model

The Western Interconnection has made significant advancements in dynamic load modeling in the past ten years. A composite load model (CMPLDW) was developed, tested, and implemented in all major production-level grid simulators used by the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC). More recently, enhancements to represent AC stalling have been added under the auspices of the WECC Model Validation Working Group Load Model Task Force.
